Voice Mail on your Latitude mobile phone is an enhanced voicemail service that takes up to 25 five-minute voice messages.

Using Voice Mail:
When you dial your cell number from your cell phone, you will be prompted to enter your password. Once you are in the voice mail system, a series of prompts will direct you through the various features and functionality. For more details click the tabs above.
Activating Your Voicemail
Before you use Message Centre, you need to set up your mailbox with your personal password. If it’s the first time you’ve used Message Centre, you’ll be prompted to enter the temporary password we assigned to you when you purchased your phone or Message Centre service.
- Dial your area code + cell phone number. Then press SEND if you’re calling from a cell phone*.
- Note: If this call is long distance**, dial 11 digits (1 + area code + cell phone number).
- Skip the voicemail greeting by pressing the # key. If you’re calling from your mobile phone, you don’t have to press the # key.
- You’ll be prompted to enter the 4-digit temporary password we assigned to you.
- Follow the prompts to change the temporary password to a new one. It should be 4–15 digits long, and cannot begin with zero.
- Follow the prompts to record your name.
- Follow the prompts to record a personal greeting or to select the standard greeting.
- You’re done! Your Message Centre service is now activated.
Good to Know
You can set up your mailbox from any cell phone or regular touch-tone phone. If you don’t have your temporary password you can call 1-866-803-2365 toll free from any phone.
When you change your service to Message Centre, you need to reset your password and your personal greeting. Any unheard or saved messages will not be transferred to your new mailbox.

Retrieving Messages
- Dial your area code + cell phone number + press SEND if you’re calling from a cell phone.
Note: If this call is long distance*, dial 11 digits (1 + area code + cell phone number). - Skip the voicemail greeting by pressing the # key. If you’re calling from your mobile phone, you don’t have to press the # key.
- Enter your password. If you’re calling from your mobile phone and skip password is enabled, you won’t be requested to enter your password.
- Follow the instructions to listen to your messages.

To save time, use speed dial to access your Message Centre. You’ll need to refer to the user manual for your phone to find out how to insert either a "2-second pause" or "soft pause" into the speed dial number.
Setting up speed dial
- Enter 1 + your area code + cell phone number. Do not press SEND.
- Press MENU and select the "soft" or 2-second pause. Repeat this step two more times to insert a total of 3 pauses.
- Press the # key.
- Press MENU and select another pause.
- Enter your Message Centre password. Select "Save" to store the number in your speed dial.
Example: (1 + area code + cell phone number) + Pause + Pause + Pause + # + Pause + Password.
Good to Know
You now have the option of skipping your voicemail password entirely when calling from your mobile phone! This is an optional feature which needs to be enabled.
Here’s how:
- Dial your voicemail number
- Enter your password
- Press 4 to change your personal options
- Press 2 to change administrative options
- Press 1 to establish or change general options
- Press 1 for password options
- Press 2 to turn skip password on or off
- Press 1 to turn skip password on
Once this option is enabled, simply listen to your messages by calling your voicemail number from your mobile phone and you’ll be automatically logged in to your mailbox!
Changing Your Password
- Access the mailbox and enter your password.
- Press 4 for Personal Options.
- Press 2 for Administrative Options.
- Press 1 for establishing or changing your password.
- You’re done! You now have a new password.
Good to Know
- Avoid passwords that are too simple, such as 1234 or the last four digits of your cell phone number.
- Regularly change your password to prevent unauthorized access to your voicemail. Do not disclose your password to anyone.
- If you lose or forget your password, we will reset your voicemail (charges apply).
Changing Your Greeting
- Access the mailbox and enter your password.
- Press 4 for Personal Options.
- Press 3 for Personal Greeting Options.
- Press 1 and follow the instructions for changing your greeting.
Good to Know
If you’d like to disable the ability for callers to leave a call-back number, here’s how:
- Dial your voicemail number
- Enter your password*
- Press 4 to change your personal options
- Press 2 to change administrative options
- Press 1 to establish or change general options
- Press 7 to change cut-through-paging options
- Press 2 to turn cut-through-paging off
*not required if calling from your mobile phone and skip password is on.
